RICS Homebuyer Reports - TERMS

Thank you for choosing Collective Surveys to provide an RICS HomeBuyer Report in respect of the above-mentioned property which you intend to purchase with vacant possession.

Please find enclosed an information leaflet entitled RICS Home Surveys Information Sheet. If after considering the information contained in the leaflet you decide that you may require an alternative survey, or have any other queries about the work you wish us to undertake please contact the Customer Services Team on 0800 772 0024 from where your personal case handler will be happy to discuss the matter further.

If you decide a different type of survey is required, an additional fee may be payable. Please also read the additional enclosed documentation included with this letter which includes a Description of the RICS HomeBuyer Service, Standard Terms of Engagement and Privacy Policy.

The fee is in respect of providing a Homebuyer Report in accordance with the RICS Practice Statements applicable at the date of inspection.

Prior to the date of the inspection, we will confirm to you the name of the surveyor scheduled to prepare the report and the proposed appointment date for the inspection. We will only allocate the preparation of the report to a surveyor who has the competence to undertake the assignment, provide an objective and unbiased valuation and who we believe has no material involvement or conflicting interest which would prevent him or her from acting on your behalf.

It is agreed that the nature and source of any third party information that you have requested or supplied are to be relied upon in the preparation of the report.

If on arrival to undertake the inspection the surveyor believes that the property is of a type that is outside of his or her experience due to its age, type of construction or the presence of unusual features; or, that it would be in your best interests to commission a Building Survey we will contact you before proceeding.

If on inspection the surveyor believes the property differs significantly from the description provided to us it may be necessary to review the fee charged. In such circumstances, we will contact you before proceeding. No additional fees will be incurred without your agreement.

If you accept the conditions contained within the Standard Terms of Engagement, you will be asked to tick a box at the booking stage to demonstrate your acceptance.

You should contact us if you have any queries regarding these terms and conditions.

Please note we will be unable to provide you with a copy of the Survey report until the signed copy of the Standard Terms of Engagement is received.

Receipt of the signed Standard Terms of Engagement will also act as confirmation that you do not wish to benefit from the remainder, if any, of 14 calendar days cooling-off period as determined by Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Collective Surveys operates a Complaints Handling Procedure which complies with the requirements of RICS. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service to you please contact us and we will send you a copy.

Finally, we are required to advise you that the RICS may for administrative purposes, check the report for compliance.

RICS HomeBuyers Report Terms of Engagement - Instruction

I instruct CollectiveCM Lts T/A Collective Surveys to supply an agreed Report on the above property. The survey or valuation will be booked by our administration staff who will issue Terms & Conditions to be completed and upon completion will instruct a CollectiveCM Lts T/A Collective Surveys surveyor to complete the instruction.

I understand how my personal information will be used by CollectiveCM Lts T/A Collective Surveys and have been given access to its privacy policy which can be viewed at fpsurvey.co.uk/privacy-policy in order to understand and exercise my rights, contained within.
